Along with Heather Demetrios, Lori Goldstein, Kim Liggett, and Trisha Leaver, Jen will do a public panel presentation as well as some local middle school/high school writing workshops.

Holy cats, there are some awesome YA authors attending this festival. Jen Brooks is one of them, and she'll be speaking about her In a World Just Right on a number of panels. 

The wonderful Jen Brooks is making a number of appearances at the International Literacy Association's 2015 conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

First, she and some fellow 2015 debut novelists (Stacey Lee, Ilene Wong, Virginia Boecker) are speaking on a panel called "New Voices in Children's Literature: Using 2015 Releases in the Classroom." It's from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Room 00438 of the America's Center.

After that, she's heading to the Anderson's Book Shop Booth (1938) from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM to sign copies of her debut novel.

And then, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, she'll be in the Simon and Schuster Booth (1417) signing copies of In a World Just Right.

Jen will be reading from and signing copies of In a World Just Right at Watchung Booksellers, along with other members of the Freshman Fifteens! "Watchung." What a fun word to say!

Jen will be joined by some of her fellow Freshman Fifteens for a panel discussion about writing, their debut novels, and why YA fantasy is so awesome. 

Before she heads back to Massachusetts, Jen is going to stop by some New Jersey locations to talk about In a World Just Right, sign copies of the book, AND lead writing workshops. The first one is at the Millburn Public Library. Bring yourself, your students, your talented teens--the event is sure to be enlightening.  

I finally get to meet Jen Brooks! And you can, too, along with fellow S & S-author Lee Kelly (City of Savages), Karen Bao, and Lori Goldstein. The ladies will be talking about their debut novels, the YA fantasy genre, and being part of the Freshman Fifteens. 

Jen Brooks is hosting the official launch party of her In a World Just Right. I'm guessing there will be reading and Q & A'ing and cake-eating. Andover Bookstore graciously will handle sales of the novel.
